Today, I presented the latest iteration of the Mega Menu wireframes to Miffy and Jack.
Key Points
Don’t hide the primary navigation too much when button is inactive. Breadcrumbs and Wayfinding are effective tools that can help users understand where they are in the app and how to go back or move forward.
Users don’t read, they scan. For my next designs I will align all important text to the top of the image content.
The left alignment of the product menu is beneficial for visibility because most users read left to right. However, it may be disorienting for users if they are expecting to be served menu options for the Content Pillar that they selected. A clear visual hierarchy is important on a webpage because it enables users to understand the structure and prioritise information accordingly.
